Speaking of betting,
the NFL will serve
a full Sunday 
of games in 
ten days

That Sunday
will also crown
the US Open Tennis Champion
 
One billion sports fans
on this planet
eagerly
await that day
which will be
the eleventh day of September 
 
But eight billion humans
on this planet
will associate
ten days hence
with something else
 
September 11, 2022
is the 21st Anniversary
of the only day in history
that is remembered
as a fraction:
9/11
 
Twenty-One
is Blackjack
and I am willing 
to bet the house
that celebration
will trump solemnity
ten days from today
 
Especially if
the New York Jets
and/or
the New York Giants
win
